Coming from the A7 Lyon /Avignon two possibilities :
- Exit at Loriol, following directions to Privas, then descending to Aubenas via the Col de l’Escrinet. With this route you will have a panoramic view over the Ardèche. This is an important area for migratory birds.
- Exit Montelimar north or south then follow directions to Aubenas.
From Aubenas follow directions to Alès/ Largentière.
About 15 km from Aubenas, after the village of Uzer, turn right at the roundabout D5 towards Largentière. (about 4km)
When leaving Largentière take the left (downhill) fork towards Valgorge – still D5.
After 10 Km you will arrive at Joannas. Do not turn into the village, continue on the D24 then take the second on the right at the bridge, following directions to Blaunac.
Coming from Clermont Ferrand on the A75
Exit Brioude, then follow directions to Aubenas.You will pass the Auberge de Peyrebeille. Why not stop to visit the museum or to admire the exceptional view? This inn – more commonly known as the “auberge rouge” was the scene of terrible crimes which were the inspiration for many books and for the film with the same name, with Fernandel.
After Lanarce, continue for about 5km till the Col de la Chavade, then turn left following directions to Valgorge. Savour the aromas of broom and heather, see the Marmottes sunbathing at the col du Meyrand and admire the exceptional views.
At Valgorge follow directions to Rocles and Largentière.
When you get to the “Croix de Rocles”, park the car and phone us – we will come to meet you.
